Chrome Capture is a free browser extension that combines screen capturing with GIF making. It is super simple: install the extension in your chrome browser, launch it within the page you want to record and animate and start the recording. You can create stills or moving images. The recorded screen capture video can be edited somewhat: you can add some text, lines, arrows, icons, remove part of the sequence, but this is really minimal. Very nice is the possibility to export the video to an animated GIF. Note that the extension will not work with some pages and in its basic version the recording capacity is limited to 10 seconds. This basic version of the extension is free but for extended functionalities you will need to upgrade to a paid version. Go to the Chrome web store for more information to install this extension.
