The EU Directive on Accessibility came into operation in September 2020 and had significant implications for video services in higher education. Now that many higher education institutions are battling with the challenges of offering hybrid services for their students, we wanted to re-visit the topic of accessibility and to check out how well higher education institutions are adjusting to accessibility requirements.
During this seminar, we heard from a variety of different universities and colleges who described the adjustments they have made. We also took time to discussed the different challenges faced by providers from a technical, design and support point of view.
Presenters included:
- Mike Wald, University of Southampton, UK
- Arnout Probst, University of Amsterdam, the Netherlands
- Thomas Dieste, Amberscript, the Netherlands
- Bram Horstink, Erasmus School of Economics, the Netherlands
- Nicolette Karst & Nathalie Stenbeck, Lund University, Sweden
