Teachers, school service providers and academic staff sometimes find it difficult to create and/or identify good quality Open Educational Resources (OER) including media-based materials. During this session we will be discussing different approaches to making it easier for teachers to find and use such resources as well as creating their own.
Presenters will include:
- Susanne Friz, FWU Institut für Film und Bild, Germany introducing the new MUNDO portal for schools in Germany.
- Charlotte Matthys & Claire Denoyette, Meemoo, Flemish Institute for Archives, Belgium talking about how The Archive for Education brings audio and video to the classroom.
- Fiona Schmidbauer, ENCORE+ project, State University Karlsruhe, Germany talking about best practices and supporting innovation through OER in education.
- Barbara Quarta, European Schoolnet talking about the reasons, issues and advantages of using OERs and presenting the Scientix portal.
