Call for Entries: EUNIS Award for Best Overall AV-enabled Education Space 2026

EUNIS and AVIXA are pleased to announce the launch of the EUNIS Award for Best Overall AV-enabled Education Space 2026, recognising excellence and innovation in the use of audiovisual technologies within higher education learning environments.

The award celebrates outstanding design where AV is a core component in enabling effective teaching and learning—whether in classrooms, specialist labs, maker spaces, or campus-wide and non-classroom environments. Both new builds and refurbished spaces are eligible, provided AV has been fully integrated into the original concept and aligned with the intended use of the space. Physical and hybrid learning environments are eligible; fully online learning spaces are excluded.

Each year, one to three winners may be selected across the following categories:

  • AV-enabled classroom or group learning space
  • AV-enabled lab, maker, or specialist educational space
  • Non-classroom learning spaces (including multifunction areas, student centres, or campus-wide AV solutions)

Winners will receive a certificate and be invited to present their project at the EUNIS Annual Conference 2026, planned as an in-person event. In addition, selected entries may receive honourable mentions, highlighting exceptional features or innovative approaches.

Key dates:

  • Entries open: 11 December 2025
  • Entries close: 11 March 2026
  • Winners announced: April 2026

There is no fee to enter, and the award is open worldwide to individuals or organisations involved in creating AV-enabled learning spaces in higher education. Eligible projects must have been completed within the last two academic years.

For full eligibility criteria, rules, and to submit your entry, please visit the EUNIS Award information page and complete the online entry form before the deadline.
