JRC publishes new report on promoting well-being in digital education across the EU

Published on 15 December 2025 by JRC Publications, the new report Promoting Well-being in Digital Education: Proposal for a Model of Emerging Practices highlights the need to place well-being at the centre of digital education across the European Union. The study calls for balanced, age-appropriate use of digital technologies to support learners’ physical, psychological and social well-being, while stressing the importance of data protection, safety, accessibility and positive social interaction by design. Addressing the persistent digital divide, it advocates a whole-school and community-based approach, with collaboration among policymakers, educators, families and EdTech providers to create inclusive and supportive digital learning environments.
