TaMeLi – Teacher Academy for Media Literacy in Europe: Instigating Teachers to Collaboratively Design for Meaningful Learning in a Media-driven World project officially launches April 1st! This three-year Teacher Academy initiative supports in- and pre-teachers in developing the skills and dispositions needed to create engaging, media-rich learning experiences for students in a rapidly evolving digital landscape.
TaMeLi focuses on Digital and Media Literacy (DML), helping educators guide students in critically navigating, evaluating, and interacting with digital media while fostering creativity, civic awareness, and informed participation.
The project highlights collaborative and design-oriented teaching dispositions, giving current and future teachers practical tools and strategies to embed DML effectively in the classroom. By creating communities of learning and practice across Europe, TaMeLi strengthens teachers’ ability to design innovative, flexible, and future-ready educational environments.
Over the next three years, the project will explore research-informed instructional design, interdisciplinary collaboration, and emerging technologies such as generative AI to keep teaching and learning responsive to the digital world.
