On May 29, the Catalan Audiovisual Council (CAC) presented the 21st edition of the eduCAC Awards in Girona. These awards are aimed at students and teachers in public and private educational centers in Catalonia, including special education centres. The objective of the eduCAC Awards is to promote media literacy in the classroom. In this edition of the awards, 97 projects were presented, 4 more than in the previous edition. The jury awarded 15 prizes, distributed in three categories: (A) aimed at students of primary and secondary schools, (B) aimed at high school students presenting research works and (C), aimed at teachers.
The award-winning works deal with many topics including the creation of audiovisual content, the promotion of the Catalan language in the media, good audiovisual consumption habits, the use of artificial intelligence in media education, as well as the integration of various artistic disciplines, with the involvement of the entire educational community, including families.
