Primary school pupils in Flanders set to access videos from Flemish archives

Meemoo, the Flemish Institute for Archives recently announced an exciting new initiative to release thousands of videos and audio clips to primary school pupils. In the course of the next school year, primary school pupils will have access to a safe environment on their platform, The Archive for Education, where they will be able to further develop their viewing, listening and searching skills through assignments from the teacher. According to meemoo, this initiative will help teachers equip children to find reliable sources in the flood of images they grow up with, by putting them to work critically with audiovisual material in the classroom.
