Submit your proposal for the Media & Learning 2026 conference

17–18 June 2026 | Leuven, Belgium

The Media & Learning 2026 Conference, co-hosted with KU Leuven’s Learning Lab, invites educators, researchers, designers, and media professionals to share their insights on co-creating the future of learning.

Next year’s event will explore how emerging technologies — from video, audio, and AI to XR and beyond — can foster creativity, collaboration, inclusive learning environments, innovative approaches to assessment, and support digital wellbeing in higher education.

We welcome proposals for workshops, presentations, panels, Pecha Kucha sessions, and demonstrations.
This year’s 14 conference themes invite contributions from a wide range of perspectives, including:

  • One-size-fits-all vs One-of-a-kind
  • From passive media to generative co-creation
  • Narratives across modalities: story, sound, simulation
  • Augmented agency: learners, media agents & AI companions
  • Media, memory & futures
  • Responsibility by design: evidence and myths in learning technology
  • Rethinking assessment: from exams to experiences
  • Learning analytics–driven media iteration & feedback loops
  • Future-ready media skills
  • Gamification & playful design
  • Cognition without overload
  • Through the learner’s eyes (or ears)
  • Beyond the degree
  • Learning without borders
