Can distance classes generate just as much involvement with student and can technology strengthen collaborative learning? Since 2016 KU Leuven has been working on a broad project to answer this question. Using several innovative teaching spaces and developed expertise in education KU Leuven has been carrying out research with existing student groups and teachers, in collaboration with industrial partners for the development of the technology to learn more. The TECOL (Technology-Enhanced Collaborative Learning) project differs from other educational innovation projects in that it has a strong emphasis on scientific research. The project is still ongoing but a report with some available results has already been published. If you are interested in creating innovative teaching spaces in education, have a look at the full report. Note, it is only available in Dutch.
