Planning for the 2-day conference “Media Literacy in an ever-changing world: Integrate. Gather. Empower” organised by the European Commission along with the Croatian Presidency in Zagreb is almost complete. The conference will be opened by the Croatian Minister of Culture, and will be divided into a number of panel discussions, presentations and workshops. Panels will focus on elements relating to the role of media literacy in countering disinformation and enabling all citizens to navigate the news environment in a beneficial way. The programme will further discuss the importance of national media literacy policies and the development of platforms for collaboration and projects funding.The second day of the conference will focus on exploring regulatory aspects of media regulation to ensure adequate and non-discriminatory findability for content of public interest and European works.
