On 13 January, the European Commission adopted the 2022 Annual Work Programme for the Creative Europe programme. With an annual budget of €385.6 million, nearly €100 million more than in 2021, Creative Europe will offer greater support to the cultural and creative sectors, taking account of the challenges of the COVID-19 crisis and increasing global competition. Within the cross-sectoral strand, Creative Europe will continue supporting journalism partnership projects and provide more stable support for media freedom projects and media literacy.
