The establishment of a common European Research Area (ERA) has been a signficant goal on the part of the European Commission for some time. It moved one step closer in February with the announcement of close collaboration on the part of 10 associations representing the university sector to ensure a coordinated representation of the sector in the new ERA governance. The ERA University Associations Group members are AURORA, CESAER, Coimbra Group, ECIU, UNICA, EUA, EuroTech Universities Alliance, The Guild, UAS4EUROPE and YERUN. read more about this development on the EUA website.
