Google Launches AI Educator Hub to Empower Teachers with AI Tools and Training

Google has unveiled its new AI Educator Hub, a one-stop platform designed to help teachers harness the power of artificial intelligence in the classroom. The initiative aims to support educators with practical AI tools, lesson templates, and training resources all integrated directly into platforms many teachers already use, such as Google Classroom and Workspace for Education.

At the heart of this hub is the integration of Gemini, Google’s AI assistant, into the education workflow. Teachers can use Gemini to generate lesson plans, differentiate materials for diverse learners, draft quizzes, and even create parent communication templates – helping them save time and reduce administrative burdens.

Alongside the tools, Google is also offering free professional development, including a self-paced Generative AI for Educatorscourse co-developed with MIT RAISE. Educators can earn certificates while gaining hands-on experience using AI responsibly and creatively in their classrooms.

Importantly, the AI Educator Hub emphasises ethical and inclusive AI use. Resources include classroom-ready activities on AI literacy, a Guardian’s Guide to AI, and content promoting safe, thoughtful integration of AI technologies in education.

Google’s launch comes at a time when educators are navigating growing workloads and the need to prepare students for an AI-driven future. With this hub, Google hopes to give teachers not just tools but also confidence in applying AI to enhance learning outcomes.

The AI Educator Hub is free to use for schools and educators with access to Google Workspace for Education.
