The attraction and completion rates of MOOCs

Sergey Kruchinin Noyabrskiy Oil and Gas Institute (branch) of TIU in Noyabrsk, Russia has recently published a study investigating what makes MOOCs popular. His research suggests that using the traditional MOOC format and auto grading resulted in higher completion rates than other formats. Kruchinin also found that Coursera and edX’s courses attracted more students than MOOCs created by universities.
