University membership of the Media & Learning Association continued to expand last month with the acceptance of University of Leeds in the UK. Their membership is led by the university’s Digital Education Service which launched the first University of Leeds online course on FutureLearn in 2013. Since then, the team have developed over 90 online courses which have been used and enjoyed by more than two million learners worldwide. The team’s expertise in pedagogical innovation and excellence in online learning has been demonstrated through a number of industry awards including the MEDEA Award, Association of Learning Technologists (ALT) team of the year in 2015 and a PQ Magazine award in 2016. We are delighted to have them join the association and look forward to our collaboration in the months ahead.
