YouCam software turns your webcam into a live video studio that can be integrated with Skype, Zoom and so on. Your images can be enhanced with special effects, customized titles and images, you can even make your skin look smoother, or add animated emojis. YouCam can improve to some extent the picture quality of a video conference by e.g. sharpening the video image or buy automatically adjusting lighting and it gives you control over noise reduction, contrast, and brightness. It can also do less obvious things like virtual makeup: if you really feel awful in the morning and you need to go into an online meeting, you can add some virtual make up… I will not comment on this function but I would suggest applying this with greatest care, unless of course you are on your way to a freak online party. On a more serious and useful note, YouCam integrates with PowerPoint by providing template lay outs using picture in picture video or side-by-side recordings and by recording free-hand drawings or mouse cursor movements on your slides. The facial recognition tool can act as a safe log in to your computer when you present your face in front of the webcam. More interesting is the face-out option that will lock your PC when your face is not in front the webcam. YouCam can be used as an ordinary live webcam enhancement tool or as a recorder.
