Every year, more than 100 volunteer judges generously give their time and knowledge to help review entries for the MEDEA Awards. These judges are chosen from a pool of 260 experts who all have strong experience in using multimedia for education and training. This helps make sure that every entry is reviewed by several judges who really understand the field. The judging process takes about a month, and each judge reviews between 4 and 6 entries. Their careful work is essential in helping us recognise the best uses of multimedia in teaching and learning.
To thank them for their important contribution, since 2024 the organising committee has decided to award one of the judges with a small token of our gratitude. The winner was picked during a live draw at the Awards Ceremony on Wednesday, 18 June 2025, in Leuven, Belgium.
Judges who couldn’t attend were informed by email, and the prize was sent to the lucky winner: Alberto Vasciaveo from IIS J.C. Maxwell, Italy.
A big thank you to all our volunteer judges, we truly appreciate your dedication and support!
