Registration is now open for the EDMO BELUX 2.0 Final Conference: Countering Disinformation, Raising Democratic Resilience, taking place on 7-8 September 2026 at the Brussels Institute for Advanced Studies (BrIAS) in Brussels.
The two-day conference will bring together researchers, educators, fact-checkers, media professionals, policymakers and media literacy practitioners to explore how collaboration across research, fact-checking and media literacy can strengthen democratic resilience against disinformation. The programme includes keynote sessions, research presentations, interactive workshops and parallel tracks covering media literacy, fact-checking, public policy and emerging challenges such as climate and political disinformation.
Organised by EDMO BELUX 2.0 in partnership with BrIAS, the event offers an opportunity to engage with the latest research, exchange practical approaches and discuss policy responses to information manipulation in Belgium, Luxembourg and across Europe. Sessions will be held in English, with selected parallel sessions available in French.
Registration is open until 8 August 2026. Anyone working in higher education, media literacy, journalism, policy or research with an interest in tackling disinformation is encouraged to attend.
