The MEDEA Award winner was announced last week during the Awards ceremony which took place on Tuesday 20 June, in Leuven City Hall, Belgium, as part of the 2023 Media & Learning Conference: Where pedagogy meets media organised jointly this year again with KU Leuven.
This year the MEDEA Award went to Mediajungle: Super Fake Safari, The Netherlands, a digital media literacy multimedia game presented by Niels Bloembergen. Both the Special Jury and Audience Favourite Prize were awarded this year to the same entry: Stolpersteine NRW, Germany, an interactive app developed by the Westdeutscher Rundfunk and presented by Elena Riedlinger. And congratulations to the five other remarkable entries who make up the list of 2023 finalists!
A big thank you to Sony who sponsored this year MEDEA Awards prizes.
For more than 15 years, the MEDEA Awards has been encouraging innovation and good practice in the use of media (audio, video, graphics and animation) in education. These annual awards recognise and promote excellence in the production and pedagogical design of media-rich learning resources and bring to the forefront those producers, designers and teaching staff who provide such inspiration to the entire educational community, particularly in Europe.
Stay tuned for next year competion: Call for entries opening late October 2023!
