The Media & Learning Association is pleased to announce a change in leadership. After two successful terms as President, Sonia Hetzner, Managing Director of the Innovation in Learning Institute (ILI) at Friedrich-Alexander-University Erlangen-Nuremberg (FAU), Germany, is stepping down.
The Association warmly thanks Sonia for her dedication and leadership over the past years.
During the last AGM, the Board unanimously elected Mathy Vanbuel as the new President of the Media & Learning Association. Mathy Vanbuel brings extensive experience in the design and production of online and live events, with a focus on the use of audiovisual, information, and telecommunication technologies in education and professional training. His expertise includes organising complex events such as interactive live surgery transmissions, pioneering the first live HD and 3D endoscopy broadcasts in Europe, as well as coordinating conferences, virtual campus visits, and medical facility inspections.
Mathy is one of the Association’s founding members and has served on the Media & Learning Board since its inception. We look forward to this new chapter under his leadership.
