TeaMLit, Teacher Education in Digital and Media Literacy: providing guidance, resources and support to teacher trainers in Europe is a project funded by the European Media and Information Fund (EMIF). The two days Kick-Off meeting took place on the 23 & 24 January in Brussels, organised by lead partner, the Media & Learning Association and hosted by Mediawijs, who brought together the consortium made up of: the Association for Communication and Media Culture (Croatia); Heidelberg School of Education (Germany); Mediawijs (Belgium); Dublin City University Institute for Future Media, Democracy, and Society (Ireland) and the Finnish Society on Media Education (Finland). The purpose of this 18 months project is to establish a value-added and sustainable network to provide guidance, resources, and support for European teacher educators and trainers in MIL (initial & in-service teacher education) and in so doing, to directly advance students’ abilities to tackle disinformation. Stay tuned for more information!
