Warning, this app is not free and on top of that, it is iOS only, sorry for that, but we would like to review it briefly because it is impressive in what it does. Filca is a camera app that combines a digital camera with the sensitivity and look of analogue film photography. That is translated concretely in high quality photography, with extensive manual operation which allows for professional shooting modes, also in silent mode (no more silly click sounds, why do we need the camera to click? We are not living in the 19th century anymore.) So what does it do? Manual shutter speed, ISO, white balance, focus. You can set the aspect ratio (4: 3, 3: 2, 16: 9, 1: 1), or apply a nice analogue 35mm film look with filters from Kodak, Fuji, Agfa and also BW. All for that authentic film look. What I did not like so much was the digital zoom but that may come in handy for some snapshots. What else? RAW mode, grainy film effect, portrait effect, timer, flash and grid mode view. Most functionalities that you like when doing a job that requires manual control. All good news? No, not really, the edit functions are not intuitive, many functions require in app purchases… so nice tool but not perfect. Filca (iOS only, not free, in app purchases some quite expensive up to 79 $ required for extended functionalities)
