Monster Mash is a modelling and animation tool that creates 3D objects from sketches. With this free app, you can draw an image, inflate it to convert it into a 3D object, animate it and put it on any background that you can import. This free web application is super user friendly and fast: inflating the 2D line drawing into a 3D model is instantaneous. All interactions with the model happen in the sketching plane, and no 3D manipulation is required. Even absolute beginners can start creating their first animated models. Less experienced users can start immediately thanks to the simple single-view approach, which is much less of a learning curve than working in a 3D environment. Professionals most probably will use this only as a quick and easy workspace for ideation. The three dimensional objects can be exported as 3 D objects in the .glb file format, a standardized file format used to share 3D data. These can then be opened in Microsoft Paint 3D. For further use, for example in the classroom, these files can also be imported in Thinglink, an application that allows you to connect these digital assets with physical objects or environments in an easy manner by adding hyperlinks. Viewing can be done in Virtual Reality mode with a compatible headset.
