Almost 270 participants from 19 countres traveled to Leuven, Belgium for the annual Media & Learning Conference organised by MLA with KU Leuven on 20-21 June. This year’s conference under the banner headline of ‘Where pedagogy meets media’ featured a full programme of inspiring talks by practitioners including Jeremy Nelson from University of Michigan, Alexandra Mihai, from Maastricht University and Bart Rientjes from The Open University. Presentation sessions were interspersed with popular discussion and workshop sessions as well as screening sessions in our small but cosy cinema space. The conference was accompanied by an exhibition and tech track which highlighted the latest in terms of services and tools aimed at our community. A full report of the conference will be available in the August newsletter when we also plan to announce dates for Media & Learning 2024.
