MIT Open Learning, in collaboration with the William and Flora Hewlett Foundation, is issuing a 2024 call for abstracts focused on the intersection of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and open education. This initiative seeks proposals that explore how AI can enhance inclusive open educational practices, support professional development, and address systemic opportunity gaps. The call invites submissions from educators, researchers, and industry professionals worldwide, aiming to generate actionable insights and innovations. Proposals might address AI’s role in creating public educational tools, building sustainable infrastructures, or mitigating inequalities. Abstracts are due by September 1, 2024, with selected proposals receiving funding to develop papers or multimedia projects, which will be published in January 2025.
