In an effort to enhance media literacy standards and promote best practices across Europe, the EDMO Working Group on Media Literacy Standards and Best Practices together with Media & Learning is organising an online conference. This half day event is taking place Friday 15 December, from 13:30-16:30 CET, and will bring together policymakers, practitioners, and researchers to discuss and evaluate the ongoing efforts to establish a comprehensive set of standards.
The event aims to explore the necessity of standards, inviting global persepectives beyond Europe, as well as to showcase the progress made by the EDMO Working Group in formulating draft guidelines and seeks input from the broader Media Literacy community. As media literacy initiatives gain support from a growing number of stakeholders, the conference addresses the pressing need for evaluating interventions and advocating best practices.
