ALTC26: Learning Without Edges, Cardiff, Wales 20–21 October 2026

The Association for Learning Technology (ALT) will hold its Annual Conference, ALTC26, in Cardiff on 20–21 October, hosted at the Holland House Hotel. This year’s theme, “Learning Without Edges: Digitally-enabled learning in an ever-changing world,” looks at how digital pedagogies and technologies can help learning move flexibly across formal and informal settings, education and employment, and physical and digital environments.

The conference is co-chaired by Megan Kime (University of Exeter) and Simon Thomson (Cardiff University), and the programme will cover themes including designing for flexibility amid uncertainty, learner agency and empowerment, collaborative partnerships for digital learning, and digital ecosystems for lifelong learning.

ALTC26 is one of the UK’s largest gatherings for learning technology and digital education professionals, bringing together practitioners, researchers and policymakers from education and industry.
