Currently in development and scheduled for release in January, aviary is the result of a collaboration between AVP and the Fortunoff Video Archive for Holocaust Testimonies from Yale University Libraries. aviary will be launched as a subscription service that brings enhanced search and navigation to audiovisual content. aviary, plans to be a lightweight platform,that can be integrated in existing workflows to provide access to audiovisual assets through time-stamped transcripts, indexes, and annotations. The launch of aviary at Sterling Memorial Library at Yale University takes place on January 25. This event, co-sponsored by AVP and the Fortunoff Video Archive for Holocaust Testimonies at Yale University Libraries, will introduce and demonstrate the features of this new approach to audiovisual asset management and discovery.
