The TREnD project partners met in a hybrid session at the Roosevelt Institute for American Studies (RIAS) in Middelburg, the Netherlands, on 25 June to further plan activities for the rest of 2026 and the beginning of 2027. Bringing together colleagues on site and online, the group worked through the next steps for the pilot virtual exchange projects planned for 2026/2027, discussed two pilots of virtual reality tours focused on Texas and the Great Lakes, and began shaping a common syllabus. They also reviewed progress on the project’s website and outreach plans, with an eye toward the upcoming EAAS Conference in Bologna taking place 1-4 September. The meeting reinforced a strong sense of collaboration as the network enters its next phase of development.
