The Erasmus+ MILES project is wrapping up three years of work on media and information literacy, critical thinking, and disinformation in education, and they are closing with a conference worth attending. Against Disinformation — Towards Critical Thinking takes place on Friday 27 November 2026 at the Flemish Parliament in Brussels, from 09:00 to 15:00 CET.
MILES is a three year project, researching, developing educational materials, and piloting training programmes across ten European countries, with a focus on supporting teachers, students, and parents in developing media and information literacy. A distinctive element of the project has been its emphasis on pre-bunking, equipping people to recognise and resist misinformation before they encounter it, alongside data and digital literacy.
The programme includes expert keynote speakers, two panel discussions, one on good practices from across Europe and one on policy, as well as a presentation of the project’s final results. There will also be time for lunch and networking.
