The 50th Annual Conference of the Association for Teacher Education in Europe (ATEE) celebrating 50 years of teacher education collaboration in Europe will take place from 25 to 28 August 2026 at the University of Błystokia in Poland. Bringing together teacher educators, researchers, policymakers, and practitioners from across Europe and beyond, the conference marks an important milestone in ATEE’s history as the association celebrates its 50th anniversary.
Hosted by the Faculty of Education at the University of Białystok, the conference will explore the theme “Crossing Borders with and in Teacher Education.” The programme will focus on how teacher education can respond to the challenges of an increasingly interconnected and rapidly changing world while fostering collaboration across geographical, cultural, disciplinary, institutional, and professional boundaries.
Participants will have the opportunity to engage in keynote sessions, paper presentations, workshops, research network meetings, and discussions on the future of teacher education. The conference also aims to encourage international cooperation and the exchange of innovative practices and research.
