Two new universities have joined the Media & Learning Association in June. They are Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in the US and the National University of Ireland (NUI) Galway, Ireland. In MIT the responsibility for membership is led by the Office of Open Learning, known for its highly innovative work with VR, augmented reality and AI. In NUI, responsibility for membership is led by the Centre for Excellence in Learning and Teaching (CELT) who’s mission is to foster a culture of excellence in teaching and learning; promoting methods that encourage active learner engagement and critical thinking. We are looking forward to the active involvement of both new members in all our activities.
