The European Festival of Journalism and Media Freedom, VOICES, will hold its fourth edition in Thessaloniki, Greece, from 26–28 November 2026.
Created to bring citizens, journalists, and media professionals closer together, VOICES celebrates the essential role of journalism and informed public debate while encouraging critical thinking and resilience against disinformation in an increasingly complex information environment.
Following its first editions in Florence (2024) and Zagreb (2025), and its return to Florence in 2026, the itinerant festival continues its journey across European cities, creating spaces for dialogue, learning, and exchange. Through talks, interactive workshops, exhibitions, and networking opportunities, VOICES explores key challenges shaping today’s media landscape, including artificial intelligence and journalism, media literacy, journalists’ safety, election integrity, digital well-being, and the future of media models.
The Thessaloniki edition will once again bring together journalists, media professionals, students, researchers, and citizens from across Europe to reflect on the future of journalism, strengthen connections between media communities, and highlight the importance of free, independent, and trusted information for democratic societies.
