The Management Board of the Media & Learning Association is delighted to announce that the association is a partner in the new SMILES project which began on 1 March 2021. Supported under the Erasmus+ project under KA2, this 2 year project is all about helping young people learn how to combat fake information. SMILES brings together partners in the Netherlands, Spain and Belgium and is led by the National Library of The Netherlands. During the project, the SMILES team will test innovative educational approaches in the form of fake news interventions in secondary schools organised by school teachers and librarians, and will monitor the effectiveness of such interventions.
